There are many kinds of runners ...
THE CALGARY ROADRUNNERS (CRR) ARE ON THE TRAIL OF NEW MEMBERS

Come join the Calgary Roadrunners. We can provide you with an opportunity
  • Join a keen group of runners.
  • Run with other beginners and enjoy the experience.
  • Better your 10 km time, your marathon pace/time.
  • Complete your first marathon.
  • Join a keen group of cross-country runners OR join a relay team consisting of eager, time-breaking runners or just-for-fun runners.
  • An exhaustive list of benefits is here

It is our Mission Statement to facilitate, foster and promote distance running for pleasure, fitness, competition and sportsmanship. It is our intention to serve as a network for socializing and as a forum for discussing matters affecting the interests of runners, and to advocate on matters of interest and concern to runners in their pursuit and enjoyment of running.

We are a diverse group, from the pleasure runners to the elite marathoners. The club has members of all ages from the teenagers who run our cross-country races to the Masters who take part in both short and long distance runs.

We offer experienced coaches who can assist you from your first running experience to whatever your goal may be. Or, we can offer you an opportunity to meet others who may just want to run on a regular basis to stay fit and enjoy life.

We have many regular events throughout the year that provide an opportunity to socialize and meet new people. Each year we have a Christmas Party that is held at the same time as our Annual General Meeting. At this AGM, we elect our executive for the coming year. We have Club Night Runs each month and a Cross-Country Awards Dinner.

We have several groups who meet for a variety of reasons, runs, long or short distance runs on Sunday mornings, interval work throughout the week, or you can simply find someone who may share your own personal reasons for running or philosophy on the sport. The Crossroads, the CRR publication that comes out six times a year keeps members apprised of Club activities.

The Calgary Roadrunners sponsor a number of racing events throughout the year, including the Calgary Marathon, a ten part cross-country series and St. Patrick's Day 10 km to mention a few. Even if you don't participate as a runner, you can always take part by volunteering some of your time. We guarantee you will meet some great people and share some great times!!

Now that we have your interest, how about calling our HotLine, at 228-0999. See you on the running paths.
