The Calgary Roadrunners Club offers training programs for all runners, whether you are just starting out or looking to set a new personal best.

Masters Runners Crocus are up, grass is green. We thought a one hour run work-out – warm-up jog – drills – strides – hill repeats – cool down would be good. CRR 10K Training Group This group is for anyone who has done or is wishing to do a 10km or half-marathon race or would just like to improve their running fitness. Runners of all paces are welcome as speed work is done at the individual's own level. Tuesdays are speed work/intervals and you should feel comfortable in running 4-6 sets at your own pace. Thursdays will be a stair workout or if it's nice out, hospital hill. Starting Nov 3 we are meeting at the lobby of the Olympic oval at 7pm and deciding if it is warm enough to run outside or stay inside the oval.   More Info
CRR Marathon Training Group Train for your first marathon, or improve on your personal best. This group is for you. Tuesday training sessions vary,covering hill training sessions, race-pace runs, tempo runs, repeats and fartlek workouts. Plus, opportunities to join or arrange with other participants for weekend easy paced long run workouts. The CRR marathon training group are meeting at 6:30PM at the north Edworthy Parking Lot near the washrooms every Tuesday   More Info
Sunday Morning Long Run Long training runs 1 1/2 to 2 hours over various terrains at 8 minute per mile (+ or - 15 seconds per mile) pace.    
Club Night Club nights are held at 7:00 PM on the Third Thursday of every month at various locations. Generally we go for about a 1 hour easy run, followed by drinks and/or dinner at a cafe, pub, or coffee shop. Sometimes we try to do something different, like skating, or a barbeque, depending on the weather. Members and non-members are welcome. This is a great opportunity to socialize with fellow members and meet new members. See the "News and Information" section on the main web page for details each month. Pathway Etiquette

When running on Calgary's pathways please observe the rules and regulations as set by the City of Calgary.

  • Respect the rights of others
  • Run on the right side of the pathway
  • Stay to the right except when passing
  • Make walkers and other runners know you are passing them by calling 'passing on your left.'
  • Yield to the right of way
  • Ensure you are visible to other pathway users (at night wear reflective clothing)
  • If running with your dog, keep on a short leash
