Training Groups

The Calgary Roadrunners Training Groups are informal training sessions that follow a flexible schedule from week to week. While these groups have a group leader who co-ordinates the training sessions, there is no formal coaching and attendees participate in Training Group runs at their own risk.

10K or Half-marathon – Tues/Thurs (Intervals/Hills)

Marathon Group

Running with a group provides mental and physical benefits, as well as a network of people sharing best practices and resources.  The group dynamic can compel members to challenge themselves on days when they might otherwise check out!

Monthly Club Night

Club nights are held at 7:00 PM on the Third Thursday of every month at various locations. Generally we go for about a 1 hour easy run, followed by drinks and/or dinner at a cafe, pub, or coffee shop.

Sunday Morning Group Run

Long standing group that meets every Sunday morning at 8:30 am for a 1 to 2 hour run at a pace between 5:30 to 6:00 min/km. Most meet for coffee or breakfast after the run at a nearby cafe. Check calendar for location and for other regularly scheduled weekly group runs.
