Who Wants to Run Some Cross Country?
Since local outdoor gathering restrictions preclude continuing with the 2020 – 2021 Grand Prix Race Series, the CRR Executive have agreed we’ll finish out the season by running the last 7 events as VIRTUAL races.
Each week, runners will run one virtual 5 km race on a course of your own choice, and at a time that works for you. Following that run, you will post your time for it to be recorded. Runners who complete 6 of the 9 individual races will get a special 2020-2021 Grand Prix XC award, and those runners doing all 10 runs this season will be recorded as Iron Persons, just like normal. There will also be a random gift card draw for each of the 7 Virtual Races.

Should I attempt to run each one in the named area – such as Okotoks week 1?

I understand you do run the races anywhere.

Marion is correct – the rules allow for running the weekly events anywhere, but if you run them in the named area – you will also earn the bragging rights :o) I know that at least two participants ran the 1st event in Okotoks; I admit it’d be a long drive for me personally though.
