10K and Half-Marathon

  • Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm (Winter at 7:00pm)
  • Pace: 4-7 minutes per kilometer

Summer Workouts 2021 – All workouts will be starting at North Edworthy park (washrooms beside Angel’s cafe) at 6:30pm except for club nights.
• June 22 – 5 x 1000m

• June 29 – 10 x 400m
• July 1 – CANADA DAY – No Training Session
• July 6 – 8 x 800m
• July 8 – 8-10 x 2 minute hill repeat sets on the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
• July 13 – 4 x 1600m
• July 15 – 3 sets of the Triples hill, across the top of Varsity and straight down Home Road to the river
• July 20 – To Be Confirmed – TUESDAY CRR Club Night – (Douglas Fir Trail and BBQ)
• July 22 – 3 x Shaganappi/16th ave hill and then across the bridge over 16th, across the park pathway (Bruce’s loop) past the children’s hospital and the U of C sport’s fields and then over towards Home road and straight down the hill to the river
• July 27 – Long warmup to Shouldice (where pathway meets road past the football field), then back to regular starting point, 6 x 2 minutes moderately fast, 1.5 minutes recovery jog along the pathway
• July 29 – 4-6 hill repeats of Shaganappi/16th ave hill
• Aug 3 – 4 x 400m, 400m, 800m
• Aug 5 – Through Shouldice Park, Up the Home road hill and continue west into Bowmont Park and then return to start by retracing your route
• Aug 10 – 6 x 1000m
• Aug 12 – 8 x 2 minute hill repeats on the Shaganappi/16 ave hill
• Aug 17 – 10 x 60/60s
• Aug 19 – CRR Club Night – TBA
• Aug 24 – 8 x 800m
• Aug 26 – Group run up Douglass Fir stairs and back through Wildwood community
