10K and Half-marathon

  • Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm (Winter at 7:00pm)
  • Pace: 4-7 minutes per kilometer

Spring Workouts 2019

We are moving to our Edworthy meeting location starting March 19 and running on the shared pathway (bike/ped) until the snow melts off the pedestrian one.

All workouts will be starting at North Edworthy park (public washrooms beside Angels cafe) at 6:30pm except for club nights.

  • Mar 19 – 6 x 800m
  • Mar 21 – 2 repeats of Foothills Hospital hill and then return to Edworthy
  • Mar 26 – 4 x 1000m
  • Mar 28 – 1 set of the Triples hill, return via Children’s hospital
  • Apr 2 – 3 x 1600m
  • Apr 4 – 4 repeats of Foothills hospital hill and return to Edworthy
  • Apr 9 – 400m, 800m, 1600m, 800m, 400m
  • Apr 11 – 8 x 2 minute hill repeat sets on the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • Apr 16 – 3 x 400m,400m,800m repeats
  • Apr 18 – CRR Club Night – TBA (7pm)
  • Apr 23 – 4 x 1000m
  • Apr 25 – 3 repeats of Shaganappi/16th ave Hill then around to University and down Foothills hospital hill
  • April 30 – 3 x 1600m
  • May 2 – 4 hill repeats of Shaganappi/16th ave hill, then across to Foothills Hospital hill, down and back to Edworthy
  • May 7 – 3 x 400m, 400m, 800m
  • May 9 – 2 sets of the Triples hill, return via Home road
  • May 14 – 10 x 400m
  • May 16 – CRR Club Night – TBA (7pm)
  • May 21 – 10 x 60/60s
  • May 23 – Douglass Fir trail (if conditions are favourable), if not, up one way hill beside Home road, over to university and down Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • May 28 – 4 x 1000m
  • May 30 – Once up the Triples hill and continue to Home road hill and back to the pathway by Shouldice
  • Jun 4 – 3 x 1600m
  • Jun 6 – 8 x 2 minute hill repeat sets on the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • Jun 11 – 6 x 800m
  • Jun 13 – 2 set of the Triples hill and then continue around by the university and down the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • Jun 18 – 400m, 800m, 1600m, 800m, 400m
  • Jun 20 – CRR Club Night – TBA (7pm)
