Summer Workouts 2020

Due to physical distancing requirements, we are currently meeting virtually and running individually. We look forward to getting together again in person.

Note: If you are looking for in-person running, the Marathon Group is running in-person at 6pm on Tuesday evenings, meeting beside the public washrooms in North Edworthy Park at 5:55pm. Feel free to meet up with them and run either their workout or the 10k/half group workout.

  • June 23 – 5 x 1000m
  • June 25 – 1 set of the Triples hill and then continue around by the university and down the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • June 30 – 10 x 400m
  • July 2 – 3 x Shaganappi/16th ave hill and then across the bridge over 16th, across the park pathway (Bruce’s loop) past the children’s hospital and over towards Home road and straight down the hill
  • July7 – 8 x 800m
  • July 9 – 8-10 x 2 minute hill repeat sets on the Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • July 14 – 4 x 1600m
  • July 16 – 3 sets of the Triples hill and straight down Home Road
  • July 21 – TUESDAY CRR Club Night – TBA (Douglas Fir Trail and BBQ)
  • July 23 – Douglass Fir Trail and back along pathway
  • July 28 – Long warm-up to Shouldice (where pathway meets road past the football field), then back to regular starting point, 6 x 2 minutes moderately fast, 1.5 minutes recovery jog along the pathway
  • July 30 – 4-6 hill repeats of Shaganappi/16th ave hill
  • Aug 4 – 4 x 400m, 400m, 800m
  • Aug 6 – Through Shouldice Park, Up the Home road hill and continue west into Bowmont Park
  • Aug 11 – 6 x 1000m
  • Aug 13 – 8 x 2 minute hill repeats on the Shaganappi/16 ave hill
  • Aug 18 – 10 x 60/60s
  • Aug 20 – CRR Club Night – TBA
  • Aug 25 – 8 x 800m
  • Aug 27 – Group run up Douglass Fir stairs and back through Wildwood community
